SC3 is shorthand for Sun City Christian Church (see the three Cs?). “101” is used as an introduction course in a college setting. This short class is for anyone who wants to know the basics about our history as The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in America and what our basic beliefs and policies are, as well as the local history of Sun City Christian Church. We explore how we do things as a congregational-type church and why we have a board, etc.

SC3-101 is taught by Pastor Gary on the first Sunday of every month about 10 minutes after the service is over. You’re going to pass through our fellowship hall so you can grab some coffee or ice tea and any of the treats offered and proceed to the classroom for this discussion. Your questions are encouraged! If you’ve been here for a while and don’t know how decisions are made, or maybe how to become a member of a team, this is the class for you! If you’re curious about any of our teachings and practices and have not gotten the chance to ask about them, this is the time and place for it to happen. Everyone is welcome!
